Facing Mountains of Data Challenges” produced by The Masters Conference at the Nativ Hotel in Denver.  The Masters Conference (www.themastersconference.com) produces conferences and webinars throughout the United States and Europe especially related to technology and law.

May 5, 2017 – For the culmination of Small Business Week, North Metro SBDC hosted a Business Development and Resource Day at Front Range Community College Brighton Campus. Polaris Law Group’s Samantha Peaslee hosted one of the twelve sessions offered. Her session, “Yes! You DO Have Intellectual Property!” was one of several designed to help small business owners better develop and grow their businesses and the only legal offering of the day.

June 10, 2016 – On June 2, 2016, the Colorado Supreme Court affirmed the Title Board’s ruling on Proposed Ballot Initiative #100. Samantha Peaslee authored the briefs in favor of the proponents of the Ballot Initiative and the Title Board Decision, Liberty at Life’s End.

November 23, 2015 – Attorney Tyler Rauert spoke about the impacts of the Trans-Pacific Partnership in Colorado at the Posner Center.  The panel consisted of Jesse Prentice-Dunn from the Sierra Club, Sam Gilchrist from the Colorado AFL-CIO, Doug Vilsack, Director of the Posner Center on International Development, and Tyler Rauert.  It was moderated by Karen Gerwitz, President of the World Trade Center.  Watch the video here.

June 9, 2015 – POLARIS lawyer Tyler Rauert spoke on international trade, politics, and security at a conference of senior government officials from over 30 countries in Doha, Qatar. 

March 26, 2015 – Samantha Peaslee of POLARIS was a proud recipient of the International Law Student Award at the Denver Journal of International Law and Policy’s Annual International Law Gala on March 25, 2015. The award was granted for Samantha’s commitment to international law at the University of Denver and in the community.

March 26, 2015 – From March 10 through March 22, Samantha Peaslee of POLARIS represented the University of Denver in the 5th Annual Shanghai Pre-Moot and the 12th Annual Willem C. Vis (East) International Commercial Arbitration Moot.  Samantha and her teammate, Katie McAuley won the Shanghai pre-moot, coming in first out of 32 teams from over 12 different countries.  Samantha also received an honorable mention for best oralist.  In Hong Kong, Samantha and Katie competed against 108 teams from over 30 countries and emerged as quarterfinalists.  They were eliminated by Singapore Management University, who went on to win the entire moot. Samantha also received an honorable mention for best oralist.

November 6, 2014 – Attorney Tyler Rauert spoke on “Overcoming Political and Legal Risks to Investment in Countries in Democratic Transition” in Barcelona, Spain on 18 November 2014.  This conference on Arab Transitions was co-sponsored by the European Institute for the Mediterranean and the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies.

He also discussed the impact of international trade developments and geopolitical shifts on the Arab Gulf region in Doha, Qatar on 25 – 26 November 2014 at the “Third International Conference on Strategic Studies” co-sponsored by Qatar Armed Forces and the Geneva Center for Security Policy.

June 12, 2014 – The federal court in Colorado has announced new rules for patent litigation to ensure that people who initiate the litigation can specify how the defendant is infringing the patent-in-suit.  This is good news for plaintiffs and defendants alike.  It should limit the amount of time spent in litigation.  Read the new rules here.
